What oil should I use for that?

Essential oils can be used in your everyday life to help build immunity. There are many oils that will help, some are very expensive but there are also a range of reasonably priced oils that will help you with your immunity.

Four reasonably priced oils to build immunity are listed and describe below:

Basil

Basil Oil’s primary chemical constituent is linalool.  If taken internally, Basil Oil supports healthy immune function, blood flow, and gastrointestinal health.

Basil Oil can be added to your cooking e.g. pasta dishes, meat dishes etc. If you wish to take Basil Oil regularly add one drop to an empty capsule and take with water.

I use Basil Oil daily to help  prevent ear problems. I add 20 drops of Basil Oil to Fractionated Coconut oil in a Roller Ball Bottle. I roll it around my ear first thing in the morning and last thing at night before bed. (I have a history of ear problems and I swim regularly so use the Basil to help prevent issues.)

Alternatives: Rosemary Oil, Black Pepper Oil

Cinnamon Bark

The main components of Cinnamon Bark Oil are  transcinnamaldehyde, cinnamyl acetate and eugenol. It can help maintain a healthy immune system if taken internally.

Cinnamon Bark oil is great in cooking, particularly at Christmas time!! It is also lovely when mixed with Wild Orange and Peppermint in the diffuser. You can also use it as a mouth rinse or take it in a capsule. I make tea with a drop of Cinnamon Bark Oil, a drop of Grapefruit Oil and a drop of Ginger oil. It is delicious and uplifting!

Alternatives: Clove Oil, Eucalyptus Oil.

Tea Tree

Tea Tree  oil is used to treat coughs and colds and to support the body during the colder months of the year. Terpinen-4-ol and y-terpinene are the main components of this oil.

Mixed with Citrus, this oil will provide an invigorating lift when diffused.

I use it to make ‘Immune Bomb‘ to help ward off the colds in the winter.

Alternatives: Thyme and or Oregano Oil.

Wild Orange

Wild Orange oil has the ability to support the immune system. The main component is Limonene.  Wild Orange is versatile and can be diffused, included in Roller Ball Bottles, taken in a capsule, added to tea or water and used in cooking e.g. chocolate with Wild Orange is amazing!

Alternatives: Lemon Oil, Grapefruit Oil Lime Oil.

And finally, the King of Oils ( and towards the more expensive end of the oils!), Frankincense Oil, and Copaiba Oils are known to be powerful for supporting your immune system.  I either take a drop of each in an empty capsule or a drop under the tongue every morning for support.
