7 Ways to Use Lavender Essential Oil Every Day 3

Essential oils can be used in your everyday life to help mild stomach problems such as pain and nausea. There are many oils that will help, some are very expensive but there are also a range of reasonably priced oils that will help you with your stomach upsets.

Four reasonably priced oils to help are listed and described below:

Ginger

Basil’s primary chemical constituents are α-zingiberene and beta-sesquiphellandrene.

Internal use of Ginger oil is best known as a digestive aid and for helping to ease occasional indigestion and nausea. Ginger essential oil can also be applied topically or inhaled for a soothing aroma.

I use Ginger essential oil in cooking including in my gingerbread and gourmet cracker recipes and when cooking lamb. I make tea with a drop of Cinnamon Bark Oil, a drop of Grapefruit Oil and a drop of Ginger oil. It is delicious and uplifting!

Alternatives: Cardamom Oil, Fennel Oil, Peppermint Oil

Peppermint Oil

The main components of Peppermint Oil are Menthol, menthone and eucalyptol. This oil is helpful to soothe upset stomachs.

I make Peppermint tea but I also make up a Roller Ball Bottle with diluted Peppermint oil and use it to roll on my stomach to relieve pressure. Peppermint Oil can also be purchased as ‘beadlets’ that can be taken internally each day. I take one morning and night as a preventative measure and to soothe a recurring ulcer problem.

Alternatives: Spearmint Oil

Fennel Oil

The main chemical constituents of Coriander Oil are Linalool, α-pinene, γ-terpinene and camphor. This oil can assist with digestion.

This oil is very strong and you should be cautious when using in cooking. Rather than adding a drop of oil, use a toothpick to add the oil. It provides an exciting boost to Thai cooking, curries and salads.  The oil can also be taken internally in a capsule.

Alternatives: Rosemary Oil, Cilantro Oil
