Health:

Personal Health and Immunity

  • Oregano Oil is an important addition to what is known as Immune Bomb’. This is a blend of oils that will help prevent you from succumbing to winter bugs. It consists of a blend of Lemon Oil, Oregano Oil, Tea Tree Oil and a Protective Blend.
  • I use this with a blend of other oils to improve my gut health. I add a drop of the oil to an empty capsule along with Peppermint Oil, Thyme Oil and Lavender Oil and take as needed. Blending Oregano Oil with Peppermint Oil is effective as they work together synergistically. This blend is useful after big events such as Christmas where we may over indulge!
  • Oregano Oil can be used to help heal pimples and other blemishes but be careful because it is very strong. Always dilute it with Fractionated Coconut Oil to use it and be careful not to use it close to your eyes.

  • Oregano Oil can help combat urinary tract issues. Take a drop in an empty capsule.
  • I rub diluted Oregano Oil on the soles of my feet and on my hands to warm them in the winter to help promote circulation. I suffer from the symptoms of Raynauld’s Syndrome where the blood drains from my fingers and toes so I need every bit of help I can find to stimulate my circulation in the winter!

Household Uses

Cleaning

  • Add about 20 drops of Oregano Oil to a spray bottle and fill with water for a versatile spray cleaner. You can add vinegar if you like and you can add in additional oils too. I use a mix of Lemon Oil , Clove Oil and Oregano Oil (20 drops of each) when I am cleaning the bathroom to deter mould and bacterial growth.

Cooking

  • Oregano Oil is a potent oil and so whenever you use it in cooking you must be careful not to over do it. One drop is probably too much for most casseroles or stews. It is better to drop the oil into a spoon and dip a toothpick into it. Then dip the toothpick into your cooking. Oregano Oil is great for Italian dishes. It blends well with Thyme Oil .

Garden

  • We used an anti -fungal spray for our garden last year when our hydrangeas showed signs of a fungal infection. We cut back the bushes and made a blend of oils, including Oregano Oil to spray over the soil. You might like to check out our recipe.

Note: Just a word of warning, do not place Oregano Oil directly in your mouth. It is known as a ‘hot’ oil and you will have a very unpleasant experience if you try to ingest it directly. Always place in an empty capsule if you plan to ingest the oil.
