Cleaning our house the safer way has become the norm for us. It has taken us a while but we no longer use any commercial cleaning products in our house. We are keeping the kitchen clean and sparking, without the use of any complex or harmful cleaning products.
Here is how we do it:
- We make our own washing liquid (based on Sal Suds) and dishwasher tablets for doing the dishes.
- We make our own scourer to keep the sink clean and shiny and,
- We make our own cleaning spray to make sure all of our kitchen surfaces are clean and safe! (Try adding about 30 drops of Lemon Oil and 10 drops of Clove oil to 500mL of warm water or vinegar. Works a treat on all surfaces. Just give it a shake before you use it.)
And finally, I make my own cleaning cloths out of cotton to be used in the kitchen to clean dishes and wipe down surfaces so we are not using plastic cleaning sponges. Of course when we need some extra cleaning grunt we use stainless steel scrub buds!
