This recipe is for a DIY facial toner that contains simple ingredients. I have never been one to use toner, mainly because they cost a bomb and because you never know what is in them. I enjoy using this one as it is cheap and easy to make and of course I like how it makes my face feel too!

If you have read my post about Spoilage, safety and Shelf Life of DIY Household Products you will know that this toner is a product with a short shelf life so don’t make huge quantities. Make a small amount and plan to make every 7-10 days.

What you will need:

3 tablespoons of rose hydrosol (or another floral hydrosol)

2 teaspoons of Witch Hazel

1 tsp of vegetable glycerin

3 drops of carrier oil (jojoba is good)

5 drops of Geranium or Frankincense Essential Oil

Method:

Mix all ingredients in a 50 ml bottle with a spray top.

Mix well.

To Use:

Apply to your face after cleansing. Make sure you shake the bottle before you spray it on.

You won’t need to rinse it off and it will leave your face feeling fresh.
